CTTE is well equipped to deliver basic bushcraft and survival training as an introduction to more specialist courses and expedition skills. Our course is based in South Shropshire, close to our base at Kinver and delivered over a 24 hour period. It involves well-pitched instruction and experiential learning in a variety of techniques, including safety in the outdoors, shelter-building, wild food preparation, fire-making and the fauna and flora of the British countryside. The course can be combined with some adventurous challenges in the surrounding woodland. .
Our Mission
Closer to the Edge always sets out to inspire and help people to learn and achieve an understanding of themselves and others in an engaging natural environment. We want you to gain personal confidence and key skills in a stimulating, enjoyable and safe outdoor setting.
